TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS IN CAMPUS

 Toxic relationship is any relationship where you are being emotionally or physically damaged by the other person.

This could be a romantic relationship ,a friendship ,a family relationship.Anyone that you normally interact with forms one form of a relationship.These relationships are imbalanced and unhealthy and are characterised by control dominance.

Majority of campus students get theselves into a toxic relationshipbecause of different reasons;

*They rush into the relationship and commit too soon before knowing the other person well enough ,they ignore the red flags or are part of the vicious cycle.

*They are afraid of saying "NO".They are probably one of those people who are afraid of hurting others ,so they end up going with the flow and accepting every date they ask them on even if they are not actually interested.

*You love the treatment they give you ,but not them.People just love the attention and effort that others give them when they arent into them .

*You would do anything not to be alone.

*Many of students fears of living alone in the future affect them so much.They grab whoever they find.

These relationships can affect students in many ways 

*There is disrupted sleep 

*Poor nutrition

*Digestive issues

*Muscle tightness

*Fatigue

*There is Cases of unfaithfulness where one partnt cheats causing conflict between the partners .

But remember there are ways you can stop toxic relationship

*Get support from a therapist or domestic violence advocate.They can help you make a safety plan and access resources for additional support.

*Open up to loved ones.you dont have to do this alone.

*Bring a friend 

*Change your phone number

*Take care of yourself.

According to Tiffany Miller ,it's hard to believe how many toxic relationships are happening on a daily basis in campus
